My Tai Chi experience
I had previous experience with other styles of Tai chi, but when I started practicing Wu style I noticed the difference. Every movement was explained, broken down to simple gestures and we talked about the effects of the exercise on your body. The progress seemed slow at the beginning but soon I learned to pay attention to my sensations and notice how my body was realigning. Through Tai chi I’m learning how my body moves and feels.
I started taking lessons with Karen after attending the long form workshop. Together we would go through the movements and working on the details. She would correct my posture and advice on the right type of practice. I appreciate the patience and human quality Karen brings into her teaching. She has a great understanding of the energy arts and a deep knowledge shaped by long years of practice. Tai chi is part of her lifestyle and who she is.

I have been learning tai ch and chi gung with Karen for nearly three years. I have problems with hyper mobile joints and lack of energy. The classes have been a great help to me personally and are also very enjoyable. They are suitable for any age whether you are a complete beginner or someone who has some experience of the short form already. Karen is a calm, friendly, relaxed and down to earth teacher and I can recommend her classes wholeheartedly.
